Getting Ready to Re-focus

Now that I’ve managed to maintain my weight within the same 5-10 lbs for the past year, I think I need to buckle down and aim for getting to goal and lifetime in 2011. Now that my marathon and the related training and fundraising are done, it’s time to re-focus.

My goal for the year ahead is pretty simple – get that “Week One” feeling back and get back to tracking. Now that I’m not otherwise distracted with holidays, fundraising, training and traveling, my mind is relatively free to devote some time to getting more familiar with POINTS PLUS. My other goal is to get back to regular gym visits, but the recent snowpocalypse in NYC has put a bit of a damper on being able to walk to the gym or pretty much anywhere else in my neighborhood, for that matter, including the supermarket.

But, I’m now armed with some new tracking tools and my plan is to track, no matter how much I eat or how much I want to deny some of my less-than-perfect food choices.



  1. I like your post especially the part about getting re-focused for the new year. Goals are important for anything we want to accomplish in life and it’s very helpful especially when it comes to weight loss. For me I do better with an exercise DVD and some equipment at home that way weather is never a factor to interfere. On the other hand I have friends who need to go to the gym in order to be motivated to exercise. The most important factor I think is just to do what works for you. Nice blog by the way.
