My First Missed Meeting

Filed under: Thoughts on Weight Loss, Weight Watchers — Carol @ 6:25 pm

Wow, this is the first week I’ve missed a meeting in almost a year. I may still try to get to a Friday or Saturday meeting if possible. But if not, there goes my perfect attendance record!

Oh well, it’s not like it could really have been helped. My cat Theo had been sick since last Thursday, and it’s been a very stressful week of vet visits, taking care of Theo, and ultimately, dealing with his death last night somewhere between 10pm-1:30am, while I was asleep. So, it’s not without a good reason.

But, even if I don’t make it to a meeting by Saturday, I made myself go to the gym Friday, Saturday and yesterday, and even did 4 miles on the treadmill when I went on Saturday. I haven’t been tracking, but then again, I haven’t been eating that much to track, and I know that I’ve stayed within my daily points. If anything, I haven’t eaten enough points, nor have I had enough water.

However, considering everything I’ve been through since Thursday with worrying about Theo, I’d have to say I’ve done better than I would’ve thought I would. And, if it means missing my first meeting in almost a year, so be it. It happens. Next week is my one year anniversary with Weight Watchers, so I know I’ll be weighing in then!

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about Theo :(. If you need a week off from meetings to have some quiet time or just take care of yourself, that is more than understandable.

  2. So sorry to hear about Theo. We lost our cat, Calvin, just two months ago. He was 15 and died very suddenly. It was not an easy time for WW. I commend you on getting out to exercise during this time. I made that effort too. It helped emotionally as well as keeping me on track somewhat.
