Nutritional Information, Anyone?

I was looking up some ice cream information for my sister, and came across the following in my Googling:

Calorie-Count.com – from About.com Health, contains free nutritional information about thousands of food items. You can also look up foods from your cell phone for free (standard carrier text messaging rates apply).

CalorieKing – Food database containing nutritional information for over 50,000 American generic and brand name foods (including over 260 fast-food chains). They also have other tools and resources available.

DietFacts.com – Another free nutritional information database.

FitDay – This was one of my favorites in previous weight loss journeys. It’s a free online diet and fitness journal, which also has nutritional information

my-calorie-counter is a free online diet and exercise journal. It also has a comprehensive food and activity search engineof over 45,000 different fast food, brand name and generic foods and activities to get instant information on calories, carbs, proteins, sugars and other nutrients as well as calories burned.

And, some fast-food specific nutritional info sites:

McDonald’s
Subway

Starbucks
Wendy’s

  1. Hi Carol. Thanks for including my website, DietFacts.com, in your list. Since you mentioned that FitDay is one of your favorites, I thought that you might like to know that DietFacts includes a button below most food labels that allows you import information into FitDay. Look for the yellow “Add Custom to FitDay” button. I think you’ll like it if you try it! Thanks again!!

  2. Thanks for letting me know! I didn’t get a chance to spend a lot of time on your site yesterday. So, I wasn’t able to explore as much as I would have liked to. But I definitely wanted to mention it, because there seemed to be a lot of good info there.
